Our Analysis and Test Results
PopYum is relatively new to the bottle market and was created by parents who saw a need and worked to fill it. This neat bottle changes the formula feeding game, adding freedom and convenience to a previously cumbersome activity. The PopYum is more user-friendly than other bottles of the same ilk and could be a formula-fed baby's best friend.

Likes
The PopYum is made to simplify formula feeding by allowing parents to premake baby's bottles for days away from home. Usually, you have two choices when going out with your baby: premix a bottle and keep it in a cooler with an ice pack, or lug around multiple containers and scoops so you can mix the formula as needed. Either way, you are filling your diaper bag with extra items you'd rather not have. The PopYum lets you leave the house with only a bottle in tow. The bottle's nipple stores the formula, and a disk separates it from the water below. The disk also doubles as an agitator when mixing. With the squeeze of two buttons and some shaking, you can have food ready in seconds.
The volume markings are easy to read, and since the formula is stored up top, they remain accurate even after mixing. The wide shape of this bottle allows for easy cleaning and creates a nipple mound that is broad and breast-like. This bottle is thoughtfully designed so that all the parts fit together well, with no leaks, and are easy to clean. We love that the mixing operation can be completed with one hand, leaving the other free to soothe your baby.
Dislikes
The convenience of this bottle comes at a price with several pieces to keep track of and clean. We would be most worried about losing the agitator/sealing part. Still, users have nothing but positive experiences with the manufacturer, and PopYum is usually happy to replace any missing pieces. Unfortunately, there is no lock for the release buttons, which means that the buttons could be inadvertently pressed, releasing the formula to mix with the water before it's time or ready to feed your baby.
It is also primarily plastic, and while this material tends to be more lightweight and durable, we aren't fans of food and plastic when it's not absolutely necessary. There is an included funnel that we recommend using when pouring formula powder into the vessel. We find that any formula granules on the silicone make it challenging to obtain a good seal, creating the potential for leaks.
Should You Buy the PopYum?
Compared to the lineup of baby bottles in our best baby bottle review, the PopYum is a unique bottle that fills a particular niche, and we think it could be a lifesaver for families with busy schedules. Use this bottle for more than daily outings, everything from plane rides to daycare to late-night feedings. If your baby drinks formula, we think it is worth having one or two hanging around for certain occasions.
What Other Baby Bottles Should You Consider?
We think selecting another contender to use as your primary bottle for your baby's mealtime is a good idea. If you're looking to stay away from plastic, the Boon Nursh, Comotomo, or NUK Simply Natural Glass may be worth considering.
