The Freemie Next Generation Cups are collection cups you can wear discreetly inside your regular nursing bra under your shirt and connect it to a compatible breast pump for easy milk collection. Freemie collection cups are 8-ounce with a breast-like shape for pumping on the go without the need for a cover. These cups pair nicely with the Spectra 1 and Baby Buddha via tubing, giving you options for a traditional electric pump or a smaller wearable pup on a lanyard. Using these cups with the Baby Buddha means you can move relatively freely about and get things done while pumping. Freemie also makes a pump for use with these collection cups.
The Freemie Next Generation Cups are fairly intuitive and get easier to use over time with only a few parts to assemble.

Ease of Use
These collection cups are one of the easiest accessories to use, with 5 straightforward parts to assemble and clean. It is easy to attach the cups via tubing to compatible pumps, and smaller pumps allow for freedom of movement and activity while pumping. These cups even had an easy pour spout for simple milk transfer with little chance for spilling.
The Freemie is easy to clean with soap and water and only a few specialized bottle brushes.

Hygiene
The Freemie collection cups are free from BPA, DEHP, and latex. They are easy to clean with soap and water, and their simple design of 5 parts makes it easy to take them apart and put them back together again once dry for more collection.
Comfort
The silicone flange and smooth shape make these cups easy and comfortable to wear inside your bra and under your regular clothing. The suction is less aggressive than other flanges that come with the same pumps we combined with the Freemie.
If you need a small or larger flange than what is provided, try the Freemie Fitmie Inserts available in a range of sizes from 16mm to 26mm.
With a breast shape look, the Freemie can be disguised under your shirt inside your bra for pumping with great mobility and flexibility.

Portability
These collection cups fit inside your bra under your shirt, making them extremely portable. Unlike other wearable collection cups, they don't increase your cup size by a noticeable amount making them more discrete than some of the competition. Depending on the pump you choose to pair them with, you can move freely about to take care of chores, business, or chasing toddlers.
The Freemie collects expressed milk right in the breast-shaped container for transfer into suitable storage containers.

Dislikes
One downside of the Freemie is that you must pour milk from the Collection Cups into a bottle or breastmilk bag for storage after pumping. While pouring is easy, it is more of a hassle than a container you can simply cap and stow. Also, the cups are challenging to close if the parts aren't perfectly aligned, and you can think they are closed when they aren't.
The Freemie Next Generation Cups are somewhat bulky and the tubing will need routing, but the cups combined with a wearable pump create a freeing combination that lets you get things done while you pump.

Conclusion
Our tester definitely liked these collection cups, especially combined with the wearable Baby Buddha pump. The combination is small and lightweight and fits inside her bra under her shirt with no issues. This combination can be a game-changer that stops mom from being tied to a pumping station or outlet and gives her the chance to do other things while pumping fairly discretely. We think these are a good choice for moms on the go or busy lives who need the freedom these cups provide.
